Supercritical Fluids - English version

Supercritical Fluids Blog   (Page under construction)

Soon there will be more info on Supercritical Fluids, including:

News, conferences, companies, SFE, extraction, SFC, preparative chromatography, industrial applications, green chemistry, clean processes, scientific societies on supercritical fluids,...and much more.

This blog deals with everything related with supercritical fluids, and it will include topics from very different approaches.

Thank you for visiting.

23rd October, 2011.
There are several International Scientific Conferences on Supercritical Fluids, that are a good opportunity to know the advances in this field and to meet experts and users of supercritical technologies. Some of them are summarized below.
"This conference is held once every three years and brings together a group of top researchers, practitioners and industrialists from around the world to contribute cutting-edge presentations on emerging applications and processes important to discovery, development, and economic production in all areas of critical fluids." ISSF 2012.

The European Congress organized by ISASF, was carried out last time in The Hague (The Netherlands) - 9-12 October 2011, Website of  ISASF : http://www.isasf.net/
Last time was en Brasil in 2010, and next edition will be in Colombia in 2013 (more information at web of Sociedad Colombiana de Ciencias Químicas.

In Asia,  Supergreen conferences every other year, and last edition was Supergreen 2011 (The 7th International Conference on Supercritical Fluids) Aug. 26 -29, 2011, Beijing, China

Other conferences related to Green Chemistry can be found in webs such as “Green Chemistry”.
Also Supercritical Fluid Chromatography, an interesting technique to separate and purify compounds without organic solvents, has a specialized conference organized by  Green Chemistry Group”, celebrated in 2011 in New York, USA (SFC 2011).
20th International Congress of Chemical and Process Engineering CHISA 2012 which will be held jointly in Prague from 25 to 29 August 2012, includes also a Symposium on supercritical fluid applications.

As you can see with this selection, there are many options in the next months, and it is a good chance to assist to one of them

The International Conference on the Fundamentals of Adsorption (FOA) is the premier "must attend" international conference in the field of Adsorption. The FOA series of conferences originated in 1983 and a conference in the series has been held every three years since that time. The conference is held under the auspices of the International Adsorption Society (IAS) and is hosted in rotation by the US, Japan and Europe. The conference is attended by researchers in adsorption and related fields from throughout the World. The FOA is a valuable resource for chemical engineers, chemists, physicists and members of other disciplines with high levels of participation from academia, industry and government. A hallmark of the conference is its comprehensive coverage of the spectrum of fundamental research and applications of adsorption, ranging from molecular modeling and simulation of fluids adsorbed in porous materials to the design of pressure swing adsorption systems for industrial gas separation processes.
